How do I find out how many Jupiter shares I hold? How do I sell my shares? I have moved to a new address, who do I need to tell? How do I transfer my Jupiter shares? What should I do if my Jupiter share certificate has been lost or stolen? When will Jupiter pay dividends? A shareholder is deceased, what should I do? How do I find out how many Jupiter shares I hold?
You can confirm the number of shares you hold by calling Capita on 0871 664 0300. Alternatively, you can check your shareholding by registering on www.capitashareportal.com, which gives you direct access to information on your shares in Jupiter and other companies for which Capita act as registrar.
How do I sell my shares?
Capita Share Dealing Services provide an on-line and telephone share dealing facility. Further information on this service can be found on their website at www.capitadeal.com or by telephoning 0871 664 0446 (calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras, lines are open Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm). Alternatively, some high street banks provide facilities for buying and selling shares or you can contact a stockbroker.
I have moved to a new address, who do I need to tell?
If you have moved you need to inform our registrars. You can do this by contacting them at the above address or by downloading the form from Capita's website www.capitaregistrars.com/shareholders/information/.
How do I transfer my Jupiter shares?
You may decide to transfer some or all of your shares to someone else (for example your partner or other member of your family). To do this, you will need to complete a share transfer form, which is available from Capita www.capitaregistrars.com/shareholders/information/. The form should be fully completed and returned with your share certificate(s) (representing at least the number of shares being transferred). Capita will then process the transfer and issue a balance share certificate to you if applicable.
What should I do if my Jupiter share certificate has been lost or stolen?
If you lose your share certificate, or it has been stolen, you should inform Capita immediately. You can do this by calling the Shareholder Helpline on 0871 664 0300. A record of the lost share certificate will be made to prevent it being used and a letter of indemnity will be sent to you to sign. This is to protect Jupiter from the possible misuse of your certificate while it is not in your possession. A replacement share certificate will then be sent to you. There is a charge for this service, so we advise you to keep your share certificate in a safe and secure place.
When will Jupiter pay dividends?
The Company intends to implement a progressive dividend policy.
A shareholder is deceased, what should I do?
If you are administering an estate, you may need to transfer shares into the names of beneficiaries or sell the holding. The first step is to write to our registrars telling them what you are going to do. They will then place a temporary marker on the register to ensure that wherever possible, they do not issue further dividend payments or other correspondence in the shareholder’s name. The registrars will then inform you of any documentation that may be required.
